He is the co-author of numerous books on conveyancing, has published more than 150 articles in leading law journals, and regularly posts articles on Ghost Digest and LinkedIn.
From its inception until September 2014, Allen West was the editor of the South African Deeds Journal. Allen West is a lecturer extra-ordinary at the University of Pretoria and a moderator and consultant of conveyancing subjects at Unisa. He has presented courses for the LSSA (LEAD) since 1984 and has served on the following boards: Sectional Title Regulation Board, Deeds Registries Regulation Board and Conference of Registrars, as well as numerous other related committees.
West captured the attention of the audience with the following topics:
• Suspensive conditions in contracts of sale

Approximately 60 estate agents were invited to the meet the property guru, who illustrated the importance of staying up to date with the latest property law developments.
A light lunch was served with delicious chicken and beef wraps and colourful fruit skewers; and to wash it all down, our home-made ice-tea!
After lunch the estate agents had a Question and Answer session and were given professional practical advice.
It was a successful workshop which helped the attendees gain knowledge of the practical implementation of contractual issues.
