Morné is a senior lawyer with 25 years' experience, of which 23 years as a director and partner in prominent private practice law firms in Pretoria. He is passionate about law and the needs of his clients. For Morné his reputation, his strong work ethic and quality service to his valued clients are of utmost importance. 

Morné joined SDB Nelspruit in March 2022 to head the fast-growing litigation department of the company, bringing his vast experience and expertise to serve the community of the Lowveld.  

Morné specialises in complicated legal matters and sophisticated clients’ commercial and private law issues. He approaches every case with the same intellectual commitment and enthusiasm to win as he has done since the beginning of his career, now adding the benefit of 25 years of litigation experience to ensure that his clients receive the best advice and service. 

He has a problem-solving mentality and approaches each case ensuring that all angles have been considered. Morné instils unconditional trust with his clients which results in loyal and long-standing relationships between litigator and client.

Morné is a specialist in the field of family law dealing with divorces and all matrimonial aspects such as the division of assets, spousal- and child maintenance and custody of minor children. He has a stellar reputation of representing high net worth and prominent members of society with the necessary confidentiality to ensure the least amount of exposure or publicity.

Morné has extensive experience in insolvency law representing both debtors and creditors in complicated insolvency matters i.e, insolvency enquiries and finalising of insolvent estates. In addition, Morné specialises in estate planning and acts as executor of deceased estates.

In his spare time Morné excels as a triathlete and has completed no less than 3 full Ironman events. He has also represented South Africa on two occasions in his age group in the Long-Distance Duathlon World Championships in Switzerland.
